 A milestone for Australian gliding

Hilmer Geissler is successfully using a 125-horsepower Jabiru J230 ultralight for glider towing. Six minutes will get a single-seat glider to 2,000ft.

 Rope test: Dynamica's Dyneema 5mm eight-strand braided rope

The Stratford-on-Avon Gliding Club in the UK has used this rope, which the manufacturer claims will have 1000 times the tension fatigue life of normal steel cable, for over 2000 winch launches and gives it the thumbs up.
