Hi, Yes I did English, Maths and Physics at yr12 and have been with an airline for the last 27 yrs. At the time TAA, yes we're going back a bit, had the highest educational requirements of Qantas, Ansett and TAA. Friends of mine weren't interviewed by TAA because they didn't have the minimum educational standards. I know Captains with Qantas who only ever did an apprenticeship after yr10. Supply and demand are a funny thing. When there is a shortage standards are lowered. There will be a pilot shortage in the next couple of years and Qantas will probably become a minor player when you start talking about the likes of Jetstar. No where on the Jetstar or Virgin Blue Pilot application form does it talk about educational standards. I think the decision is yours, good luck. Phill
