As my instructor says "A PPL is only a licence to learn to fly". And aint that the truth. Finance was certainly an issue, but all I can recommend is to keep on pushing. I started with the intention to be happy with GFPT in 152's, then I hoped to get rated on 172's, then first Nav, and so on. You might be surprised at how things can evolve if you've got the passion.
Once you've got that licence and can fly anywhere without a pair of eppaulettes next to you the feeling is fantastic. The pressures off and the fun begins. So get a loan, beg for donations or sell the kids, whatever it takes, it's worth it.
If you'd like to see some of my flights in Perth, and a taste of what you can enjoy once legallised, have a look at 'Real Flights' at my website.
Good luck and keep flying,
Ken.
Hey thanks that's very encouraging, I loved the website what a great way to share your flights. Fly never seems to amaze me. You advice to sell all and go for it is great, How much did the kids fetch you? LOL Hmmmm the cat is looking at me strangely just now, maybe as I'm looking at him with $$ is my eyes. Thanks a gain for the encouragement and I'll be a regular at you website. BTW do you mind if i list it on my blog?
Mike
PS flying was washed out by the weather this weekend so i have another week to wait.
